In this note Galois groups of finite or infinite arithmetically profinite totally ramified extensions of a local field with finite residue field are explicitly described in terms of certain subquotients of the group of invertible elements of the integral formal power series over the algebraic closure of the finite field. Abelian and metabelian class field theories follow as partial cases.
