Math 428 has become a "capstone" course in the honors sequence. The intention is to provide students with a course that combines many elements of their previous honors sequence courses and shows them an attractive, advanced topic in mathematics. Each offering should include interesting justifications for the material they studied earlier and should make them enthusiastic about further study of mathematics. The topic covered varies from semester to semester; it is chosen by the Honors Committee in conjunction with the intended instructor, and reflects the interests and knowledge base of that instructor.
