Class Rosters and Grade Submission

Beginning this semester, class rosters will only be available on-line and can only be accessed by the instructor of the course. In addition, all grades must be submitted on-line. These services can only be accessed through secure personal passwords, and since the same passwords give access to personal and appointment information about an instructor, the office staff will no longer be permitted to obtain rosters or submit grades for an instructor.

Our goal, however, is to make the transition to these on-line services as simple and as painless as possible. There are two steps involved.

First you must obtain an Enterprise ID and password. Once that has been done, you may check on rosters and submit grades using Banner's Self-Service interface.

COMPATIBLE COMPUTER PLATFORMS
Access to Banner services and the Enterprise Application has been thoroughly tested using Internet Explorer on PC (Windows) environments. Other environments and browsers may work if they use secure communications, but you need to try these out individually. Mac OSX 10.3.5 running either Safari or Internet Explorer and Linux running Firefox are two alternate environments with which we have had success. We are testing the services at the moment for our main unix platforms using different browsers and we will report results when they are available. In the interim, PC access is available through the machines in our PC lab, 108 Altgeld.

TO OBTAIN AN ENTERPRISE ID AND PASSWORD
If you do not already have an enterprise id and password, or wish to change your password, log into the following URL using your standard NetID and NetId password: (note the "s" in https://)

The instructions there will display your Enterprise ID and will tell you how to set a password. If you ever forget your password, you may return to this page to set a new one. If you have difficulties, call the AITS Help Desk at 333-3102.

and follow the instructions for choosing a semester and a specific class.
At the bottom of the roster page is a link that will create a printer-friendly version of your roster.
