RE: MESSAGE 5: DELAY IN SWITCHOVER

This is the fifth in a series of messages about the new online library system.

The switchover date has been pushed back from August 4 to sometime in mid to late August. We encountered unexpected difficulties in loading records from our current system into the new system. The problem can be solved with additional programming, but it will take extra time. We will continue using the current system for checking out materials until approximately one week before we "go live" on the new system.

At this writing, we do not have a new target date for the switchover. We'll keep you updated through email and our "BOOKS & BYTES" web site.
