Abstract by Dean Morton Lowengrub

Task Force on Graduate Education.

Prof. Lowengrub is Chair of this Task Force, which is working on recommendations which would lead to strengthening educational programs within research mathematics departments. The Task Force has been visiting many institutions and consulting with faculty, administrators, and others. They are near the end of their work and expect to complete their report within the next few months. Lowengrub will discuss the work of the Task Force and its recommendations. All interested graduate students and faculty are welcome.
