Algebraic K-theory of triangulated categories--an introduction and examples.
In 1997, Neeman wrote a series of three papers, "K-theory for triangulated categories I(A), I(B), II" in the Asian J. of Math. He is going to give a short course on these papers and some new results that have recently been obtained by using these methods. The course is intended for anyone with a working knowledge of homological algebra and some exposure to simplicial methods. He will also be indicating many open problems which he feels would be suitable for thesis research. All are welcome to attend.
