Thin Film Blistering and Folds .
I will discuss different approaches to buckling-driven delaminations of thin films. The first approach is to
ignore in-plane displacement and study Gamma--limit of the elastic energy. This method predicts that folds
will develop in the blistered region and suggests a scheme to find location of the folds. I will talk about related
results for the Gamma--Convergence problem. The second approach, however, is to study the full Von
Karman thin plate model and effects of in-plane displacement. I will present new results in this direction
which suggests different structure of thin--film blisters. Our results also suggests that folds may not occur.
