The Fractal Dimension of the Blues: 15 Interactive Mathematica Notebooks.
This series of Mathematica notebooks results from pondering the question: "How do new tools change the job?" In this case, the job is presenting mathematical concepts to students at the upper high school and beginning college level. The tool is Mathematica. Topics in these notebooks include: visualization of very large and very small numbers; sonification of cellular automata patterns; fractal analysis of music; dynamic visualizations of the Cantor set; a genetic algorithm for finding sparse rulers.
