RE: MESSAGE 8: REQUESTING OFFICE DELIVERY
This is the eighth in a series of messages about the new online library system.
The University Library has received many inquiries about its delivery service to campus office addresses. THIS VALUED SERVICE CONTINUES. Please use the telnet interface to the new online catalog to request materials. The request function is not available yet in the web interface.
When you place a request using the telnet interface, you'll see a menu across the lower part of the screen. From the menu, select PICKUP. A list of locations will appear. The first "location" is CAMPUS MAIL. Select CAMPUS MAIL to have the requested material delivered to your office.
Delivery service is available only for campus OFFICE addresses. The Library cannot deliver to residence halls or off-campus sites.
If you prefer to pick up your materials at a campus library, use the PICKUP list to specify which library. When the materials arrive at the library, a notice will be sent to you.
More detailed instructions for requesting library materials via the online catalog are available at:
http://www.library.uiuc.edu/help/BorrInfo.htm.
And remember: you may now *return* UIUC and ILCSO library books to any campus library.
