IMPORTANT DATES - SPRING 1998

February 27 Deadline for a graduate student to add a semester course and to drop a first half-session course.
March 10 Midsemester grades mailed to freshmen.
March 13 Deadline for an undergraduate student to drop a semester course, to elect credit-no credit or to change credit-no credit to regular grade basis in a semester course and to remove an Ex grade from previous semester to prevent change to an F grade.
March 16 Second half-session courses begin (nontraditional courses may begin earlier or later).
March 23 - 29 SPRING BREAK begins 1:00 PM, Saturday.
March 27 Deadline for an undergraduate student to add a second half-session course.
April 3 Deadline for an undergraduate student to withdraw from the University and receive the minimum 40% pro-rata refund; Deadline for a graduate student to withdraw from the University and receive the minimum 40% pro-rata refund.
April 6 Registration for Fall 1998 begins; registration for Summer terms I and 2 begins.
April 10 Deadline for a graduate student to add a second half-session course.
April 17 Deadline for an undergraduate student to drop a second half-session course and to elect credit-no credit or to change credit-no credit to regular grade basis in a second half-session course; Deadline for a graduate student to drop a semester course.
May 1 Deadline for a graduate student to drop a second half-session course.
May 6 Last day of instruction.
May 7 Reading day (no classes, no final examinations).
May 8 - 15 Final examination period.
May 17 Commencement.
