FALL 1997 HONOR CLASSES
To: All Mathematics Faculty
From: Mathematics Honors Committee

We are planning the Honors classes in Fall 1997. If you are interested in teaching Math 190's and Math 290's, please give us a quick response by November 1.

The other courses in which one or two Honors sections may be offered in Fall 1997 are: Math 130 (2 sections), 225, 242 (2 sections), 280, 285 and 315. If you are interested in teaching some of these sections, please let us know (as soon as possible).

Abstract: The Department of Mathematics has just become a member of the program in Computational Science and Engineering in the College of Engineering, and has developed a corresponding option to its Master's degree in Applied Mathematics. Professor Michael Heath, director of the program, will describe the goals and purpose of the program to interested faculty members and graduate students.
