IMPORTANT DATES - FALL 1997

November 21 Deadline for an undergraduate student to drop a second half-session course and to elect credit-no credit or to change credit-no credit to regular grade basis in a second half-session course; Deadline for a graduate student to drop a semester course.
Nov 26, 5:00 PM - Nov 30 THANKSGIVING RECESS.
December 5 Deadline for a graduate student to drop a second half-session course.
December 12 Last day of instruction.
December 13 Reading day (no classes, no final examinations).
December 15 - 20 Final examination period.

MATHEMATICS COLLOQUIA SCHEDULE
MATHEMATICS IN SCIENCE & SOCIETY SERIES SCHEDULE
CAMPUS AREA TRANSPORTATION STUDY TOWN MEETING
When: December 3, 1997, 7:00 PM
Where: Levis Faculty Center, 3rd Floor, 919 W. Illinois in Urbana
Issues: to be discussed include the safety of pedestrians and bicyclists, parking, bus conflicts, access to transportation by physically challenged individuals and traffic congestion in the U of I campus area. Existing transportation problems and current data will be presented at the meeting and the public will be asked to provide their comments. Based on comments regarding the most significant campus transportation problems and needs, strategies will be developed and evaluated to resolve those problems and meet those needs within the campus area.
