S-modules in the category of schemes, by Po Hu

This paper gives a theory of S-modules in the setting of A^1-stable homotopy theory. The category of S-modules is a category of A^1-spectra with a strictly associative, commutative, and unital smash product, which allows the construction of spectra that are strict rings and modules with respect to the smash product. I also give analogues of the constructions from topology, such as twisted half-smash products and the linear isometries operad.
