In the recent preprint 0867 Cortiñas, Haesemeyer, Walker, and Weibel
give a new proof of the nilpotence conejcture for toric varieties over a field
of characteristic 0. In this note we show that the nilpotence conjecture for
toric varieties is true over any regular coefficient ring containing Q.
