Speakers and schedule:

Getting there:

Evanston is on Lake Michigan just north of Chicago. Chicago is served by O'Hare International Airport (13 miles away) and by Midway Airport (23 miles away). To take a cab from O'Hare to campus, call the "303 Cab Service" at 763-0303, and a cab will meet you in about 5-10 minutes at a designated pickup and take you to Evanston. It should cost about $25 or less.

These are directions you can use once you reach the Chicago area by car:

  • From the north, via Interstate highway I-94.
  • From the west or northwest, via I-88, I-90 or I-190 (from O'Hare).
  • From the west or southwest, via I-80 or I-55.
  • From the east or south, via I-80, I-57, I-90 or I-94.
  • Before you go, check out the location of any local highway construction or congestion.

Alternatively, you can get to Evanston via public transportation.

The math department is in Lunt Hall (click on the link to see a picture of the building), 2033 Sheridan Road, Evanston; the tea breaks may be held there. The talks will be given next door in Swift Hall, room 107, directly east of Lunt Hall. Both buildings are visible on this map of it and a few other buildings, and on this map of the campus.
