Funding Application for Students and Young Researchers
Deadline
is May 7, 2007 Some funding is available to help defray the costs for students and young researchers (up to 7 years after the Ph.D.). The funding will be $500 per grant. Preference will be given to U.S. citizens and permanent residents and faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers at U.S. universities, except for the grants concerning researchers from Latin America mentioned below. Preference will also be given to junior researchers without other grant support. Application: Graduate students should have a letter sent from their advisor, indicating when the student is likely to finish his or her degree. Preference will be given to students who expect to finish their Ph. D. within 2 years. Students should indicate in the application form below why attendance at the conference would be valuable to them and either upload a CV or provide a link to one on the web. For postdocs and young faculty a letter from an advisor or senior researcher is optional. They should indicate whether or not they have grant support from their national research organization. Through the NSF we also have available up to 5 grants of $1000 to researchers from Latin America to help defray the cost of attending.
