Undergraduate Awards, Prizes and Competitions

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign recognizes outstanding undergraduate students by awarding prizes annually for exceptional work. Departmental awards are made at an annual departmental Awards Ceremony each spring, at the LAS Honor's Banquet, and, in some cases, at the annual Graduation Ceremony.

• The Salma Wanna Memorial Award
• The Greenwood and Trjitzinsky Prize in Undergraduate Mathematics
• The Prizes in the Majors
• The Honors Undergraduate Teaching Assistantship
• U of I Undergraduate Math Contest (an organized problem contest run locally each spring)
• William Lowell Putnam Competition (the Illinois Mathematics Department has a Putnam Team each year)
