Fermionic forms of conformal field theory characters.
Fermionic character formulas arise as partition functions of critical statistical mechanical models. They are characters of irreducible
representations of the Virasoro algebra, affine algebras or their generalizations. They can be considered as generalizations of the Rogers-Ramanujan identity. I will explain recent progress in new fermionic constructions of integrable representations of affine algebras inspired by these identities.
