General Program Information
Plenary Sessions
The plenary sessions will be held mornings in 314 Altgeld Hall
except for Jean Bourgain's lecture which is given Tuesday at 8 pm
in the same room. Plenary talks will be 50 minutes, plus
10 minute for discussion and break. There will be a 30 minute coffee
break between the first and second plenary talks of the day.
Invited Talks Sessions
Invited half-hour talks will be given in the afternoons, beginning at 2
pm, in four parallel sessions in Everitt Hall. There is a 10 minute
break between talks, and a
30 minute coffee break at 3:50 pm, after the third talk.
The sessions are grouped by subject roughly as follows:
- Session A (151 Everitt):
analytic and elementary number Theory.
- Session B (269 Everitt):
algebraic number theory
- Session C (165 Everitt):
combinatorial number theory, partitions,
modular forms, and q-series
- Session D (161 Everitt):
diophantine equations, transcendental number
theory, and miscellaneous
Contributed Talks Sessions
Contributed talks have been scheduled in the second afternoon sessions
of Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The talks will be given in five
parallel sessions, with four sessions in Everitt Hall, and one session
in Altgeld Hall. (Altgeld Hall is across the street from Everitt Hall,
so it should be easy to switch between sessions.)
Contributed talks are scheduled in 20 minute blocks,
15 minutes the talk itself and a 5 minute break between talks.
do not exceed the 15 minute time limit.
We have tried to group contributed talks by subject and keep the
sessions homogeneous, though this was not always possible.
