These exams are given during the regular class hour and count as 50% of the course grade. No calculators allowed.

III. Quizzes: A 15-20 minute quiz will be given every Thursday except for Thursdays following a Wednesday exam or preceding a Friday exam. The quiz problems will be very similar to assigned homework problems.

Two quiz grades will not be counted. Quizzes will count as 20% of the course grade. No calculators allowed.

VI. Make-Up Work: No make-up quizzes will be given unless you are excused for a university related activity (e.g. a university sporting event, marching band trip, a required field trip in a course).

If you miss a quiz, that is one you drop unless you have an extended illness (longer than 1 week). Please contact me in this case.

For Hour Exams: If you are ill for an hour exam, contact me by phone or e-mail BEFORE THE EXAM HOUR. I have voice mail which records the day and time of your call.

V. Final Exam: The final exam is comprehensive and will count as 30% of the course grade .

The best advice I can give you -- do not allow yourself to get behind in this course!
Therein lies disaster.

CALCULATORS WILL NOT BE USED ON QUIZZES OR EXAMS.
