We will cover Chapters 7, 9, 10, and Sections 6.4 and 8.1

II. Hour Exams:  Three hour exams will be given on dates below. The first two hour exams will each count as 20% of the course grade. The third hour exam is 10% of the course grade. No calculators allowed.

Wednesday, Feb 23, 7:00-8:30 p.m., 314 Altgeld Hall
Monday, April 11, 7:00-8:30 p.m., 314 Altgeld Hall
Tuesday, May 3, 7:00-8:30 p.m., 314 Altgeld Hall

III. Quizzes: A 15-20 minute quiz will be given every Thursday. The quiz problems will be very similar to assigned homework problems.

Two quiz grades will not be counted. Quizzes will account for 20% of the course grade. No calculators allowed.

VI. Make-Up Work: No make-up quizzes will be given unless you are excused for a university related activity (e.g. a university sporting event, marching band trip, a required field trip in a course).

If you miss a quiz, that is one you drop unless you have an extended illness (longer than 1 week). Please contact me in this case.

FOR HOUR EXAMS: If you are ill for an hour exam, contact me by phone or e-mail BEFORE THE EXAM HOUR.
I have voice mail which records the day and time of your call.

V. Final Exam: The final exam is comprehensive and will account for 30% of the course grade.

Final Exam: 8:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, May 13.

The best advice I can give you -- do not allow yourself to get behind in this course!
Therein lies disaster.

CALCULATORS WILL NOT BE USED ON QUIZZES OR EXAMS.
