Surgeries on one component of the Whitehead link are virtually fibered
 

abstract
 

In this paper it is shown that every Dehn filling on one component of the boundary of the exterior of the Whitehead link is virtually fibered.  As a corollary, we produce what seem to be the first examples of knot exteriors in $S^{3}$ which are virtually fibered, but not fibered.
