Homework: You will note that on each homework assignment there is a theorem that it says you should know. You are responsible for understanding the proof of that theorem by the time the homework is due. I will choose someone from the class to present the proof, either a volunteer or someone at random. When you have successfully done this, 5% will be added to your grade.
Homeworks are due at the beginning of class each Wednesday. Late homeworks will not be accepted. However, the lowest two homework grades will be dropped.
Exams: Each exam will have a take-home component, and an in-class component. The take-home portion will be due on the day listed in the table above, and the in-class portion will also be held on that day.
Final: If you do better on the final than on the your lowest scoring exam, the exam grade will be replaced with the final grade.
