Homeworks

Each homework due date will be posted on the website. No late homework will be accepted unless a valid reason is discussed with me before the due date. An account will be set up for you in the course management system for MA285F8. You will use this website to turn in your electronic homeworks, get back graded homeworks, get class announcements, etc. Access the course management website by going here. You will be prompted for login and password. Your login will be your netID. The initial password will be the same thing. You can change your password once you are logged in.

Grades

Electronic Homeworks: 25%.

2 in-class (written) Exams: 25% each. Make-up exams will not be given (except if approved absence from the emergency dean)

Final (written, cumulative) Exam: 25%

The weights given above are subject to the following condition: the final class grade will not be more than 1/3 letter grade higher than the average grade on the exams (in-class and final combined). The guaranteed cutoff percentages for the final grade will be:
90% : A-
80% : B-
65% : C-
55% : D-
