Course details (grading, homework policies, etc.)

The Final Exam is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 16 from 1:30-4:30 in 245 Altgeld Hall (Note the room assignment).

The exam will be Cumulative. No Calculators will be allowed. You will be allowed One Sheet of Formulas (both sides). Of course, this should be a standard issue 8 1/2 by 11 inch piece of paper.

My remaining office hours are: Friday Dec. 9 from 12-2, Tue. Dec 13 from 1-3, and Wed.Dec. 14 from 1-3.
You may also ask questions via email.

Your graded homeworks, both new and old, will be in a box outside my office starting Tuesday.

Here are the solitions to the miscellaneous problems I listed in the third worksheet. (The first page is a bit fuzzy but problem 4 starts at the bottom of the page and is still legible.)

Our final meetings on Wednesday and Thursday (Dec, 7 and 8) will be review sessions.

My office hours for next week will be 10:00-11:30 on Wednesday Dec.7 and Friday Dec.9 from 12:00-2:00.

Grading Scheme:

Weekly Homework (15%) This will be assigned after each class and is due in class on each Monday. No late homework will be accepted.
Three in-class exams (20% each = 60% total)
Exam 1 Thursday Sept. 15, Exam 2 Wednesday Oct. 12 , Exam 3 Thursday Nov. 3.
Comprehensive Final Exam (25%) The final exam is scheduled for Friday Dec. 16 from 1:30 to 4:30.
