The intended use of foo.mg is as follows. Given that bar.c is in the 
in the current directory, then do
$ make -f macgcc.mf bar 
on a mac.

The two linux makefiles have not been checked out recently. 
I epect to deposit an Ubuntu makefile here soon.

The macgcc.mf worked with oldcode files on a 10.5 system.
Any difficulties compiling other applications would be
