Required Text: A set of lecture notes written by Prof. van den Dries (posted on the course webpage). We will cover essentially everything in chapters 2-5; chapter 1 is for background and reference.
Course Description: This course gives a basic introduction to First Order Logic (also known as Predicate Logic). No previous study of logic is assumed. The main topics of this course are:
