Online Scores

To view all scores you have earned to date, go to this URL (also linked from the Course Webpage):
https://www-s.math.uiuc.edu/bluestem/grades.cgi
The total score shown at the end of the display is the sum of all scores earned so far. Your course grade will be based on the total score the end of the semester.

Drop scores. The drop score rule for the lowest hw score has now been activated. The dropped score is indicated by a double asterisk (**); it should be the lowest among the hw scores earned to date. Thus, out of the current 9 hw scores, only the 8 highest are counted, and the total has been decreased by 10 points. (Since hw2 originally had a maximal score of 8 rather than 10, like the other hw assignments, everybody's score on hw2 was raised by 2 points. This gives it the same weight as the other hw assignments.)

Discrepancies in score display: If you notice any errors in the score display, such as an incorrectly entered or missing score, let me know right away and show me the assignment in question.

Approximate letter grades: As a rough guideline to where you stand (as of April 11), you can use the following correspondence between total scores (the ones shown at the end of the score display) and letter grades: 170 (out of a current total of 195) is the cutoff for an A, 145 the cutoff for a B, and 120 the cutoff for a C. (Note that "A" here means anything in the A range, i.e., an A-, a straight A, or an A+.)
