Class summary: Wednesday, 2/19
I started by giving a motivation for the normal approximation, the
particular form of the "bell curve function"
phi(x), and the appearance and significance of the
terms mu and signa in the formula.
I next discussed the concept of a confidence interval in the S/F
trial model, and computed several examples of such intervals.
I intend to wrap up Chapter 2 on Friday with an application of
this concept to polling problems.
