Abstract: We will describe the view obstruction problem as introduced by Cusick and its generalization to subspaces instead of rays due to Dumir, Hans-Gill, and J.B. Walker, and survey the results and the open problems. We will also briefly talk about the billiard ball motion problem due to Schoenburg.
