Workshop on the Interface of Probability and Number Theory

Invited Talk: Alexandru Zaharescu (UIUC), Spacing distributions in number theory. Sunday, 5/20/01, 10:50 - 11:30

Abstract: The talk will be a survey of results and problems on the spacing distribution of various sequences of interest in number theory, such as sequences of fractional parts of polynomials, powers of primitive roots, zeros of the Riemann zeta function and more general L-functions, and Farey sequences and some of their applications.
