Grade Information - Updated Nov 3, 2009

Announcements

Monday, November 9 - We have decided to lower the cutoffs required for the ALEKS component of the course because we will not be able to cover as much of the material as we thought we would before the Nov 20 deadline..  Rather than the usual 90%, 80%, 70%, 60% cutoffs for letter grades, we will use the following:

ALEKS Progress Letter Grade
86-100% 100% - A+
80-85% A
70-79% B
60-69% C
50-59% D
Below 50% F

Wednesday, November 4 - To compensate for the second and third evening exams in this course, we are canceling lecture on Friday, November 13 and Friday, November 20.

Tuesday, November 3 - Exam 2 scores have been posted to the Gradebook.  A curve was applied to this exam to compensate for it being a tad too long for 60 minutes.  For an explanation of how the curved score is displayed in the Gradebook, please see the Grade Information link above.

Thursday, October 22 - Clarification on Homework 6 #10:  This question should have said "Determine the limit as x → ∞ and the limit as x→ -∞ for each function."  rather than "Determine the end behavior....".
