Be sure you know the definition of definite integral and are able to calculate definite integrals using the definition (such as 4.4 #9). Also, you should be able to state the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, both Part I and Part II.

On 5.1 #7, you need to solve a cubic equation x^3=3x+2. It has only two solutions and both are small integers which you can find by trial and error.

These problems are long and you probably need additional practice beyond the homework problems. Sections 5.2 and 5.3 are on the test on Monday Dec. 3, so you should definitely do those problems before the test.  Section 5.4 will be on the final exam.
