LAS students enrolled in Mathematics 317, 344 or 347 are permitted to withdraw from these courses without academic penalty and without petition through the end of the 13th week of the semester. Thus, Friday, November 17, 2000 is the drop deadline for these courses in Fall 2000.
LAS students who wish to drop the course should see Sue Woodside in the LAS office, who will process the withdrawal via UI Direct without a grade of "W". Any request to drop Math 317, 344 or 347 after November 17, 2000 will be considered as a late drop request, and the student will be required to submit a written petition to the Late Add/Drop Committee consistent with normal policy.
Students in other colleges may need to petition their college office for this policy to be applied, but the math department would support it.
