Homework

Assignments will be collected weekly and a selection of the problems will be graded. All homework should be neat, easy to read, stapled (if more than one page), and must be turned in at the beginning of class.
You may work in groups on your homework but each of you must hand in your own work, in your own words. Answers that correspond with those of your classmates verbatim are not acceptable.

Quizzes

Quizzes will be given each Friday at the end of class. You must be present in class to take the quiz. Your lowest quiz score will be dropped at the end of the semester.

Group Projects

Occasionally I will assign a group project over the material we are covering. You will be allowed some class time for the completion of the project. We will discuss the projects in class.

Exams/Final

There will be three midterm exams and a cumulative final exam. The midterm exams will be held in our classroom during our regular class time. Exam dates are Wednesday February 20, Friday March 28, and Friday April 25. We will discuss their format and content in class. Calculators will not be allowed on any exams. The final is on Tuesday, May 6th 8:00--11:00 AM.

Grading

Grades will be determined by the following:

If you have special needs requiring accomodations in the classroom or during exams, please provide the official documentation of your specific needs by January 28, 2008.
