Announcements
The projected schedule for the rest of the semester:

Monday, July 21, to Thursday, July 24: Sections 9.3-9.5.
Friday, July 25: Exam 3 (The root test (Sections 8.5), 8.6-8.8, 9.1-9.3)
Monday, July 28: Conic sections (Sections 8.6, 8.7).
Tuesday, July 29, to Thursday, July 31: Review for the final.
Friday, August 1, 8 - 11 AM: Final exam.
Monday, July 21: Review session for the third midterm.
Our third midterm will be this Friday in class. It will cover the material listed above in the schedule. We will hold a review session for the third midterm on Thursday, July 24, from 4 to 5:30 PM, in our usual classroom. Please bring your questions. See you there!
Friday, July 11: Change on quiz dates.
This morning I announced that for the rest of the semester our weekly quizzes will be given at the beginning of class on Tuesday (rather than Monday, as they have previously been). This will give me (at least) a day to answer your weekend questions before you have to take the quiz.
Tuesday, July 8: Review session.
As the schedule shows, we'll have our second exam this Friday, over Section 7.1 and the first 5 sections of Chapter 8. A special review session will be held Thursday, July 10, from 4 to 5:30 PM, in our usual classroom. Please come, if you'd like, and bring your questions.
Tuesday, June 10: Class cancellations next week.
I will be away all during the week of June 16-20, but I will have a fellow graduate student (Vinicius Lopes) take over classes for me on Monday, Wednesday morning, and Friday of this week. There will be a quiz on Monday (as usual), and homework will be collected on Wednesday. In addition, I will hand out a (rather large) assignment on Friday, June 13, and during class time you are encouraged to work together to finish it, asking questions of Vinicius when you have any. Class is cancelled Tuesday, Thursday, and Wednesday afternoon, but please feel free to come to the classroom at the usual times to work with others. If you have any questions about anything, please let me know.
Friday, May 30: Welcome to the webpage.
Welcome to class! This page will contain many of the announcements and handouts from class. Please visit often.
