Course Description:

Math 415 is a class on matrices and linear spaces. This section is a C&M class. You need a computer with Mathematica installed. Go to http://www.cites.uiuc.edu/software/cites_software.html to get a Mathematica for your own. In this class, you will learn MGM.01-MGM11, which are available at http://cm.math.uiuc.edu/calcand/courseware for now. But you should buy the CDRom to legally use it.

Tentative exam dates: There will be two in class midterm-exams during the semester and a final exam. 

Exam #1 Friday, Feb. 26th

Exam #2 Friday, April 16th

Homework and Quiz: Homework is essential for this course. We will have a homework assignment each week. The assignments come form GiveItATry notebooks. Three poorest grades of HWs and quizzes will be dropped from the final score in the class. As a result HW extension or make-up quizzes will not be allowed. Grading: two midterm (15%  each), final exam (20%),  Homework+Quizzes (50%)
