Fall 2008 MATH 241 Calculus III Class Link


The textbook for MATH241 is Vector Calculus (Third Edition) by Susan Jane Colley.

The Calculus III course meets in Altgeld Hall in room 314 MWF 9-9:50AM from August 25, 2008 Monday to December 10, 2008 Wednesday with instructor Tom E. Carty. The final exam for this class will be announced later in the course.

Discussion section BD1 will meet with me from 8-8:50AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 148 Henry Building and discussion section BD5 will meet with me from 2-2:50PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 441 in Altgeld Hall.



NOTE: Proficiency exams for MATH241 are handled by the main office in Altgeld Hall in room 273.

December 16 Tuesday Final Exam: Section BL1 at 2PM MWF lectures, 1:30-4:30PM.
December 15 Monday Final Exam: Section AL1 at 9AM MWF lectures, 1:30-4:30PM.
December 10: Instruction Ends for fall semester, and go to large lecture to pick up Exam IV.

December 8 Monday Exam IV: will cover Chapter 6.1, 6.2, and Chapter 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 (only Stokes' Theorem).

November 12 : this is the first day of three weeks of vector calculus theorems. This is the most difficult material in the course. Please do NOT skip MWF lectures.
