UIUC Graduate Student Seminar in Analysis
We are a fairly small group of math grad students who meet every week to discuss various topics in analysis
that we find interesting. Topics which are of interest to the group include (but are DEFINATELY not limited to)
- Probability Theory
- C* Algebras
- Nonlinear PDE's
- Noncommutative Probability
- Spectral Theory
- Harmonic Analysis
- Fredholm Theory
- Geometric Measure Theory
- ODE Theory / Dynamical Systems
- Game Theory
- Bounded and Unbounded Operator Theory
- Wavelets
- Applications of Analysis in the "Real World"
- Many More!!!!
If you are even remotely interested in any of the above topics, or if your just looking for a way to hide from
your advisor for an hour per week, come check us out! Of course, if you have some topic that you find interesting
that has a cool (non-empty) intersection with analysis and are willing to share it, we are always looking for
upcoming speakers!!!!!!!!!
