Final Exam Letter Grade Ranges

MEDIAN: 106 points
Important remark on grades: What is entered for your exam grade is your numerical score, not a letter grade. So, it is better to have a 177 than a 176, even though both are in the A range. And, if you are only 1 point away from the next letter-grade cut-off, this is insignificant for your final grade. So, you might more accurately think of a 138 as a "B+/B" rather than a solid B+, and the same is true of a 137.

Remark on final grade ranges: Although I was a bit disappointed with performance on the final exam, I was still pleased with how much students learned this semester. So I expect to make the curve for final course grades somewhat "easier" than the curve for the final exam may lead you to guess.

An additional remark: I don't yet have final course grades finished. Furthermore, because of the large number of students in the class, I can't e-mail final grades to you in advance of their release by the registrar. So, my apologies, but please be patient in waiting for your final grade. I know that the suspense can be maddening!

Have a great summer! I hope you enjoyed this class as much as I did!
