Course Description:

This graduate course provides an introduction to algebraic number theory, in particular further developing the theory of fields, including topics from valuation theory, ideal theory, units in algebraic number fields, ramification, function fields, and local class field theory. Here is the standard syllabus for this course.

Prerequisites: Math 500 or similar.
