Research Interests

I am currently a graduate student in the department of mathematics at UIUC. I am expecting to graduate at the end of spring 2008. My main academic interests are in combinatorics, theoretical computer science, and some number theory. My advisor is Professor Alexandr Kostochka. My research interests over the course of my PhD studies have included intersection families, enumeration problems of matchings, induced Ramsey theory, and decompositions of planar graphs. Recently, I have been looking into partitions of integers and combinatorial proofs of partition identities. Here are some documents about my teaching and research (all are in PDF format): You can peruse some documents from my teaching portfolio.

Teaching

This semester I am a TA for CS 105: Computer Science for non-technical majors.

About this corner of the web

I have had a webpage starting early 1995 -- soon after the first graphical browser came out. I have moved from undergradudate to graduate school then to job and then back to graduate school, but the page has had its classic look until recently. The current page is designed for the transition period during finishing my PhD and applying for jobs. If you want to view the classic page, click here.
