INTRODUCTORY MATRIX THEORY

Course requirements and grading procedures
There will be a homework assignment every week, due at the beginning of class on Thursdays, in general. Each week's homework will be worth 20 problems. There will be three midterms and a final. Here is the grade weighting scheme:

Homeworks = 20 points
Each of 3 hour exams = 15 points
Final exam = 30 points
Course Participation = 5 points
Total = 100 points

Attendance Policy
You are expected to come to all lectures. Even though there is no component due to attendance in the grading scheme, I reserve the right to downgrade you if you are habitually missing the classes.
