| Course requirements and grading procedures |

There will be a homework assignment every week, due at the beginning of
class on Monday. Each week's homework
will be between 15 and 20 problems. There will be a quiz almost
every Friday. There will be three midterms and a
final. Here is the grade weighting scheme:
Homeworks = 150 points
Quizzes = 100 points
Each of 3 hour exams = 100 points
Final exam = 200 points
Total = 750 points

You are expected to come to all lectures. Even though there is no component due to attendance in the grading scheme,
I reserve the right to downgrade you if you are habitually missing the
classes. |
