Text: Introduction to Linear Algebra, 4th edition , Strang
Homework: During each lecture ``homework problems'' will be given which will also be posted at homework. It is expected that students will work on these in small groups but write individual solutions. These problems will be collected but only a small portion of them can be graded due to limits of our grader's time (he is paid for approximately 8 minutes per student per assignment). Homework is due as follows (unless announced otherwise):
The lowest 2 homework scores will be dropped. This policy is in order to accommodate the occasional situation when a student cannot finish the assignment in time due to legitimate conflicts or acts of God. No late homework will be accepted.Exams: There will be three exams during the semester. Exams are not curved but may be scaled. The final is on Friday of Finals period from 1-3 P.M. and NO special arrangements for taking it at other times will be made. The dates of the exams are:

| Exam II | Monday, July 13 | 3.4-4.4, 8.2, 8.5 |
| Exam III | Monday, July 27 | 5.1-6.7, 8.1, 8.3 |
| Final | Friday, August 7, 1-3 P.M. | 1.1-9.1, 10.1-10.3 |
Grades: Grades are not curved and will be determined as follows:

| Midterms (3 at 20% each) | 60% |
