Research interests: Combinatorial representation theory; mathematical physics; infinite dimensional algebras; quantum groups; cluster algebras; integrable models in statistical mechanics and quantum field theory. See my curriculum vitae for more information about my background and publication data. My research publications are available from ArXiv.
Teaching: Fall 2009: Math 415 (Applied linear algebra) and math 595 (Topics: Macdonald polynomials). Both courses run starting October 19. Math 415 will run 6 hours per week and count for the usual 3 credits.
Seminar: The representation theory seminar is now called "Algebra, Geometry and Combinatorics", organized by Alex Yong and myself. In Spring 2009, it will be held in 445 Altgeld Hall from 3-4 pm on Wednesdays, starting January 28. See website maintained by Alex Yong.
Conferences: Information about the AMS Special Session on "Algebra, geometry and combinatorics", co-organized with Alex Yong at the 2009 Spring Central Section Meeting, Urbana, IL, March 27-29, 2009 (Friday - Sunday)
Post-conference information for April AMS meeting in Bloomington session on "Infinite dimensional Lie algebras and mathematical physics".
