I am a sixth year graduate student. I started out in algebraic geometry, but for my thesis I calculated the zeta functions of an infinite family of varieties, which took me into number theory and combinatorics. I am still typing up the results, they should appear here soon.
Optimal Retirement Age is a short note about how to find the best age to retire, the result of my trying to figure out how long I will have to work. It turns out that (surprise!) the best way to retire early is not to make a lot of money, but rather to save a lot of what you do make.
Earlier, I was interested in Computer Science. I co-authored two papers, one on parallel algorithms and one on a new data structure.
