How to compute your partial grade:
1. Compute the percentage scores of exams, homework, and quizzes.
2. Take the weighted average: ( Homework*10% + Quizzes*10% + Exam1*17% + Exam2*17% ) / 54%
Example
If your scores are
Homework: 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 9
Quizzes: 10, 9, 7, 9, 4, 10, 9, 9, 8
Exam 1 : 90
Exam 2 : 72
Then, Homework is 89/90 = 98.9%.
Two lowest scores of quizzes are 4 and 8, drop them and take the average of other scores: (10+9+7+9+10+9+9)/70 = 63/70 = 90%.
The perfect score for exam 1 is 104, so the percentage score of exam 1 is 90/104 = 86.5%.
Looking up the exam 2 curve, the percentage score of exam 2 is 84.67%.
Then the average is (98.9 * 10 + 90*10 + 86.5*17 + 84.67*17 ) / 54 = 88.9
The letter grade is B+.
